Step-UpThe Step-Up Program was created to help meet the financial needs of young people age 13 through 22. It's a simple and effective way to help you achieve your goals and develop your financial independence.
Learn to manage your own finances with a Step-Up account.
A Step-Up account entitles you to:
Savings:
A savings account bearing interest at a preferential rate of .25% above the rate posted at the bank. Open with only $25.00. A $100 balance is needed after 1 year in order to continue with no service charge.
Checking:
- Unlimited ATM, ACH and debit card transactions
- Up to 10 checks debited to the account per statement at no charge
- No monthly maintenance fee with one of the following:
- $150.00 daily minimum balance
- $500 monthly average balance
- $300 minimum balance in savings, money market or certificate of deposit attached to the account
- $3 monthly fee if one of the above is not maintained
- $.25 charge per debit over 10 checks or merchant purchases
- Co-signer is required if under 18 years of age or at the
discretion of the bank
- First order of duplicate checks is at no charge
Dollars for $cholars
It’s never too early to start saving for your higher education. The right place to start is National Exchange Bank’s Dollars for $cholars savings plan. Money can be set aside through age 22.
- 3-year CD Steady growth, no risk. At the end of three years, renew the certificate, invest in another account or use the funds immediately for education needs.
- Preferential Interest Rate
- $300 minimum opening deposit
- Additional Deposits can be made throughout the life of the CD
- Withdraw up to three times per year if used for school tuition or books.

If you are 18:
- A Personal Line of Credit may be available to protect against overdraft fees. A $250 line of credit is available to qualified applicants, co-signer may be required*

Congratulations to Krista Sawyer!
Krista Sawyer of Fond du Lac is the recipient of the 2010 Step-Up Scholarship from National Exchange Bank & Trust. She is the daughter of Gerard Sawyer and Sharon Secord, both of Fond du Lac. She will continue her education at Ripon College in the fall where she is majoring in Psychobiology and Pre-physical Therapy.
Sawyer keeps busy serving as a Hospice Home of Hope meal time volunteer, psychology research assistant, student athletic trainer, Community Church Sunday School teacher and is a member of Psi Chi.
Sawyer is employed with Ripon College.
