Loan Services Representative/Processing Clerk
South Main Office-Full-time

Summary

Under general supervision, but in compliance with established policies and procedures performs various documentation functions, including typing notes, checks and other documentation needed. Other duties include verifying the accuracy of new loan inputs on the system, taking telephone inquiries, processing payments and back-up duties as needed.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Prepares loan documentation for installment, commercial, and mortgage loans using FIPCO Documentation Software, as assigned.
  • Verifies loan totals after closing to prepare for input to the loan system, which includes cutting checks, running GL tickets and clearing the loan.
  • Processes mortgage, commercial or installment renewals; this includes typing and gathering of information for the renewal, as assigned.
  • Performs maintenance on loan system, which includes payment posting, running payoffs, processing insurance payments.
  • Performs various other duties as assigned: process escrowed insurance premiums, insurance reports, track paid and delinquent property taxes, post payment rejects, release lien perfections, disbursements and track PECFA payments, etc.
  • Answers telephone inquires from customers and employees.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or needed.
Education & Skills
  • Strong knowledge of WBA and OCC regulations to make sure all documentation is correct and within legal guidelines preferred.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, including a calculator, typewriter, IBM PC with Excel, Word, and database software, FIPCO software, and other equipment as assigned.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Approximately six months to 1 year of on the job training to become familiar with many aspects of the loan system and procedures.
Working Conditions
  • Ability to be mobile in order to retrieve files from various areas of the bank.
  • Must be able to move from one responsibility to another quickly and smoothly.
  • Due to the changing volumes of the mortgage industry, must be able to work under pressure.
  • Must be able to quickly reestablish priorities, responding to the changing needs of the loan department.
  • Must be able to respond quickly to department needs or loan officer needs.
